Our clients, professionals in the catering and events industries, are extremely generous hosts and wanted to update their villa and garden in the de Beauvoir Estate to create a state-of-the-art living and entertainment space.
By extending their existing kitchen and dining room on two sides to take back part of the garden, we created a fully open-plan cooking, pre-dinner chat lounge and dining area which is ideal for hosting their many glamorous dinner parties.
The enlarged room is open to the garden by a fully retractable glass wall which allows the two spaces to integrate throughout the year. The garden has been re-designed by specialist landscape architect, Nick Ryan and is now another ‘room’ which forms a complete entertaining suite on the ground floor of the house.
The downstairs shower room was redesigned to give a greater feeling of space using a single glass panel to divide the shower, adding a skylight and finding additional sq meters by recessing the basin and mirror under the stairs.
At first floor the space has also been extended to create a much larger master suite with dressing area and an exotic, eastern influenced walk-in shower and bathroom.
